  1. NO!  Don't take the earring out because you can trap the infection IN the hole.  You need to go to the doctor and get it drained.  After you see the doctor, follow his/her instructions and it should clear up, but you should buy some antibacterial or antimicrobial soap and wash around the area when you shower, gently removing the little crusties that form.  If the infection was caused by the earring itself you need a better quality. Gold works for most people.

  2. yes it is

  3. yes!! and whipe your ear down with alcohol

  4. It depends.

What type are you wearing? Are they cheap silver (not real or sterling) or fake gold? These metal alloys often have nickle in it, and many people have an allergy or sensitivity to them. If this is the case, you should take them out, unless you have just had your ears pierced. Just wash them in the shower, avoid touching them, and wipe them with alcohol. If you have had them pierced for a while and you think it's irritated from the nickle (weeping and itchy) then take them out and replace them with a quality pair of sterling silver or gold sleepers. (You can purchase these at any chemist etc). By rotating them through your ear frequently and washing them out in the shower, the infection should go away shortly.

  5. i would take it out and start all over again. you never know, it might be that youre allergic to that particular metal

  6. yes because that may be the cause.if you go to the mall they have earing care cleaners.also you can apply alcohol on cotton and apply to your ear.

  7. Yes if theyre older. And clean it.

If theyre fresh or stretched no. You dont want your holes to close trapping the infection!

  8. Most definitely.  make sure to clean your ear with alcohol or peroxide after you take the earrings out.

  9. yes because it hurts less

  10. Yes, i had an ear infection once and my doctor told me to take my earings out. If it comes from a doctor then, i´d go with that answer.

  11. i wouldn't take the earring out-the ear hole might close up-if you are wearing hoops, put a lot of alcohol on the earring, and just turn it through the ear, the inside of the hole will get the alcohol. if its studs, just keep applying the alcohol, and turning the stud-it should get better in a few days or so.

  12. If you mean an infected pierce hole, then yes, you will need to take the earrings out until it's better. Use surgical spirit soaked cotton wool and wipe the hole clean a few times a day. If it's an inner ear infection without swelling, there's no need to remove earrings. If your ear is swollen, you'll probably find it's more comfortable to remove dangly earrings.

  13. I actually just got my ears repierced today. I would say it is probably a good idea to take them out and clean your ears thoroughly. After that it should be okay to put them back in unless the infection is pretty serious.

To prevent infection you should clean your ears as frequently as possibly with alcohol and using vasaline also helps. Especially if the piercing was newly done. After a year of having earing in keeping your ears clean shouldn't be a problem at all.
