I have a spider stuck in the top corner of my ceiling, I think it's dead since it hasn't moved in a few hours and the legs are in a funny position but it isn't completely curled up. I don't want to kill it so I tried to move it but I'm really afraid of spiders, so being a wuss, I don't want it to fall onto the ground and crawl away where I can't find it. When i poked it, it moved slightly but didn't crawl away. Is it dead or what?

  1. KILL IT!!! who cares!!! hit it with a shoe or something!!

  2. There's a pretty good chance it's dead since most spiders will scurry away if it's touched. If it's dead, it'll move slightly if you touch it. I have seen spiders curl up and "play dead" but they normally don't stay like that for very long. It could also just be the shed shell of a spider since they do have exoskeletons.

  3. it's living

  4. well try pokng it w/ a chop stick or somthing like that and if it moves again its most likely alive

  5. Yeah it's probably dead because spiders can't survive in your house..they have nothing to eat.

  6. erm... it will only move if you move it mate... lol

  7. spiders play dead.... they can also stay still for days, that is how they catch there food in the web..... i would kill it, it may be prgnant or something.... and if u wait too long ang u kill it later and the offspring see it they will plot on u and use the rest of there childhood to train and get stronger to get u
