  1. Yes just make sure you tell your friend you might want it back.

  2. Yes, but some will evolve.  Haunter to Gengar.  Graveler to Golem - just make sure that the pokemon won't evolve to next form if you decide you want to trade it.

  3. yes

  4. yep like if you ty to evolve a gravaler than trade it back he will evolve

  5. Well the only way for you to get back your pokemon that you traded with your friend is to yet trade again with that same person.

  6. yep! that is how i get my electrivire ryperier and magmortar!

  7. Pokémon Diamond and Pearl are completely compatible with each other, meaning if something is traded from one game to the other, it can be traded back.

The Migration feature added to Diamond and Pearl that allows you to migrate Pokémon from Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, and LeafGreen, however is not backwards compatible.

If you migrate something into Pokémon Diamond or Pearl from a GBA game, that Pokémon will be taken out of the game and placed in the Pal Park located on Route 221.

Once these Pokémon are migrated, you cannot return them to their original GBA game.
