  1. For freshman it is a lot easier to make the team, but it really depends on how many girls are trying out and how many players the coachs will take

  2. Contrary to what some have said, particularly at my school, volleyball is one of the sports where they make the most cuts, just because for volleyball, the smaller the team, the better, to all fit in one gym, give everyone practice time, and keep the most competitive team. I can't really say, because I don't know you, but keep working hard and stay positive and shine!

  3. well at my school, there's a no cut policy , which means that everyone that tries out is going to make it. you should ask a coach or something if it has the no cut policy. but then again, i'm in middle school, not high school.

  4. It all depends on the school, the coaches, the school's v-ball rep. , and how many people are trying out. But you have to have a good attitude

  5. Well at our school in Iowa, there is a no-cut policy.  So everyone makes the team, but they might not get to play.  Just remember to keep a positive attitude and be encouraging and give 100% each time, coaches notice that kinda stuff.  And if you wanna get better/faster, try doing speed ladders, sit-ups, and squating weights (jumping).  Also to improve your vertical, walk around on your tip toes.  I used to do it all the time when I was younger and now I have well-built calves/quads.  I'm 5'7" and I have a 28" vertical.

  6. It all depends on the standards of the volleyball team and if you've got what they are looking for.

I suggest that you do try out for the volleyball team and I believe you will make it. Remember the first step towards a touchdown is the kick-off. So start!

  7. i think it would depend on the school and how many players are trying out. ask the coach, or a person who has been on the team before.

  8. well, depends.  If there's three squads, and there's an average of 10-12 people on each squad.  Do the math.  That's 30-36 people that make the volleyball team(s).  If you think you are in the top 36 people, you'll make it.  If not, you won't.

  9. At my old school, only the better players made the varsity team.  All the bad players were put on junior varsity.

You will probably be put on JV until you get better and used to the plays.

  10. not everybody makes the team.  i am not in high school, but i know that.  not everybody makes the team at my skool.  i know that i am better than a lot of people, but i don't say that.  just pick out people that you know that u r better than and that should boost your confidence.

  11. no they don't but they usually have varsity, JV and A team so you have a chance at one of the lower two.

generally freshman don't make varsity unless you're really good

  12. Teams are usually cut. Sorry!
