If you uninstall avast, will the virus files go back on the computer?

Hey, I want to uninstall avast and go back to my old anti-virus protection thing. I have 4 virus files all in system 32 (they are in the virus chest), when I uninstall avast, will the files with the virus go back on the computer? or will they go with avast?

You need to delete the files from Avast virus chest before you uninstall.

Delete the quarantined files. Read Avast's Help guide when you're in the quarantine section. It should permanently delete the files if you OK it. I would restart System Restore, if you don't need an old restore point, so they're deleted if they were copied in there. Start it up & set a new restore point, all the old ones are gone.

If Avast is actually concerned about your security, it will delete the quarantined files when it is uninstalled.

all you have to do is delete the files before or after you uninstall avast. i would do it before just to be safe.
