If you use Banner of Courage in Yu-Gi-Oh, does the attack stay 200 Points higher even after the battle phase?

I was dueling my friend, and he used Banner of Courage to make his monsters stronger. He said that during each of his battle phases, his monsters gained 200 more, and eventually he had a monster at 10,000 attack! Is this really possible? I believe durring battle phase, their monster increases, but then decreases again after battle phase is over. Am I correct?

nope only goes up 200 during damnage and goes right back sdown

Ok... well.. first...lts ead the text

"During your Battle Phase, all monsters you control gain 200 ATK. "

this effect is ONLY applied during your battle phase.. and only once... this means that after his battle phase is over, the effect is no longer applied. It is a continuous Triggered Effect.

so after the Battle phase... the Requirements are no longer met.. so the effect is no longer applied
