  1. it should be fine if you put a lid on it.  if it is a mini hampster it should be fine a big one should be ok too

  2. My sister used one for her guniea pig and it worked. Your hampster will be a little cramped though.

  3. If you don't cover it, they could climb up on their houses or their water bottles and climb or jump out. It's not at all uncommon for these little escape artists.

If you cover it, though, they can't escape. I hope you aren't using an aquarium for a syrian hamster, though. Much too small. ;]

  4. im thinkins towards a yes. I have four mice, and they are all around 7 weeks. and they are all fine... i have no lid, and i have a multi level adder and they havent got out, and the multi level is halfway up the side and they havent go out.

  5. no but make its coverd

  6. They can get out if they have something high enough to crawl up on and boost themselves over the side. My hammie did that one day.

I purchased a reptile lid for my 10 gallon aquarium. The reptile lid I'm referring to is the mesh one with a metal frame that fits over the top. They're heavy enough that the little stinkers can't push them off, and the mesh provides enough air flow so the humidity doesn't build up in the aquarium.

They're not very expensive and they last a long time with proper care (don't let Hammie chew on them).

    Best Wishes!

  7. Not if you buy a proper covering for the cage, and come cage clips to hold it down. But, if you put the hamster in the cage without a tank cover, he most likely will get out.

  8. buy a mesh lid for it, you can get them at walmart, pet stores

  9. Just make sure it's covered with a wire mesh top with holes that aren't big. Make sure it's escape proof! Hamsters are smart....soo, you should buy the right kind! If there is no lid, there is a big chance your hamster will get out. KK?

  10. Most pet stores sell lids for tanks. You get a proper lid for the tank, and the hamster will not escape.

There are MUCH better housing options for hamsters, though. Tanks do not provide much air ventilation, which could cause respiratory complications if the tank isn't kept clean.

  11. of course. just cover it

  12. make sure you take out the water 1st! im sorry that was awful! lol
