If you use free nights and weekends with Verizon does it eat away at your plan minutes?

I feel like I'm getting completely overcharged here. My last monthly bill was $178.00, which was amazing! I keep looking at my bill every day on my cellphone, which verizon says is free. This month is about half over with and for some reason my bill is $475.00. I ONLY use my cellphone during the free nights and weekends and I have free unlimited text. I checked and I haven't gone over with anything. I don't even download! I'm so confused.

  1. Did you pay your bill last month? It is not usual for there to be a new bill everyday on a rolling basis. The billing cycle ends, and they generate a new bill for that month. I'd certainly call though and they can provide you the detail behind that balance.

  2. SInce it costs less to cancel your plan and pay the cancellation fee, than you are paying in a month, I would call Verizon, and tell them that you are about to cancel, unless they can tell you what is going on.

  3. if u hav a high grade or extra premuim plan that u already pay for $150.00 per month and added on to the minutes that u think is free itll add up to that

  4. Where is your boyfriend? If he is overseas, then you are being charged for those calls...

You may also want to keep in mind, that if you are on the phone, lets say you call him at 8:45 and talk until 9:20, then, becuase you were on the phone BEFORE 9:01, you will still be charged for the entire call against your minutes.

As far as to you checking your balance online, it doesn't figure in whats due if its in the middle of a billing cycle, just the last bill less any payments that have been made. It doesn't show anything until it has been billed.

And the balance that you are looking at actually is the balance of ALL lines that are on the phone, not just yours. So, depending on the plan that you are on, since you did say that you were on a Family plan, $178 isn't bad.
