If you use "Action Replay" for you game do you have to always have it in when you play?

I have got seede with my ANIMAL CROSSING:WILD WORLD game and I want to buy and action reaplay but I want to know will I have to always have my game in the action replay in order it to work or do I fix it and thats it?

For most codes you need the action replay installed, but for some codes, like unlocking codes, you just need it in once and then save your game.
