Traditional charcoal is about th closest you'll get to a carbon-neutral BBQ. It takes energy to make, so it's not totally neutral.

the answer is NO

burning anything like fossil fuels or wood, or traditional charcoal releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.  you can debate the effects of that carbon dioxide, but burning the charcoal is NOT carbon neutral.

using a solar grill would be carbon neutral

Yes it produces CO2 as almost everything ,but the plants will clean it up for us as GOD intended it. Think of the earth is a space craft on a very long trip so things need to be recycled . Don't cut your throat because u breath out CO2 also and that is why all the plants breath in the CO2 and give us back the O2 and keep the C.

Depends on how you look at it. When the trees grew, they sequestered carbon. Now you are releasing it into the atmosphere. Likely another tree will sequester it. That said, s***w it, enjoy your bbq and the h**l with Al Gore and his bullcrap.
