I'd like to help a candidate get elected and volunteer, but I don't want to call people asking them for money for the candidate. What else do volunteers for a campaign do?

  1. you can hand out fliers, stuff envelopes for mailing, record donations. host events.. there are lots of things that need to be done..  just be sure to tell them what you want to do.

  2. You might go door-to-door with pamphlets; stand on a corner ding same. And on Election Day, probably pester people going to the polls!

  3. You DON'T want to know!

    Monica Lewinski

  4. hand out flyers, annoy people

  5. Well in Bill Clinton's campaigns, you needed a cigar.

  6. Honestly, any campaign you volunteer for will use you in any way you want to help.  They always need callers for money, but they may also need someone to answer phones, stuff envelopes, create and distribute yard signs.  My first 10 minutes on a gubernatorial campaign they had me answering phones and making copies of fliers.

If you go in to volunteer just let them know you are happy to help, you just don't want to do phone banking for contributions.

They ALWAYS want free help and will find you something to do.

  7. place signs in yards. Go door to door. l**k, stamp and address envelopes.

Re-fill the coffee maker. Order lunches.

    Clean the working space.

I hope you really are in support of your candidate. Volunteering is hard work. You may never see any results from your efforts, but you are needed just the same.
