Just need a professional degree (Bachelors, Masters, Phd) and tons of experience working with forensics data.

Also it depends on what you want to do exactly in forensics.

Chemistry and Physics background would be a good start.  

There isn't exactly a Forensics Science major.  Nor is there such a thing as a generic forensics scientist, you have to have a specific specialty.
