Canadarm, ect.) or go into Behavioral Psychology and Kinesics (Study of Body Language). I'm good at both, but find Psych. easier. My mom said that since I'm a girl it would be better if I did the Robotics, it's also faster (less school before I can get a job) and it is a wider field.

Any suggestions?

  1. If you want to be an astronaut, you need a bachelor's degree in engineering, biological science, physical science or mathematics, and a PhD. You also need to be in excellent shape - to be accepted to astronaut training, you must pass a tough physical exam, which includes swimming three lengths of an Olympic-size swiming pool in a flightsuit and sneakers! To be a pilot astronaut you must also have previous flying experience (1,000 or more hours on a jet aircraft) and pass a NASA Class I space physical.

I wanted to be an astronaut as a kid. Still wish I became one sometimes...

  2. If you want to be a shuttle pilot, join the Air Force.  Other than that, NASA accepts people with a BA or higher in math, science, or engineering who have worked in their field for a few years (teaching K-12 counts) into their astronaut training program.  Major in whatever you want - building shuttles won't help you go up in them (although instrument building might, but that's a long shot).

  3. you need an engieneering job... robotics would probably be best... you wii also need lots of high level math and science
