If you want to become a jockey, How much do you have to weigh?

I have heard various answers but I just don't know what the real answer is.

  1. You really can't weigh more than 115 pounds to be a jockey. Lower is better.


  2. under 110 preferrably

    or 120 for quarterhorses

  3. Anywhere from 108 to 112 lbs.

  4. Just like me love very light around 50kgs.

  5. i dont really now but under 115.

  6. I would say between 105-115lbs.

    An apprentice should be on the lower end because they get a weight allowance to make up for inexperience.
