  1. Preemie mom is right, although I haven't personally heard of any state that requires certification in more than one language.  However, it certainly makes you a lot more marketable and gives you more job security.


  2. You don't normally have to be good enough in two languages to teach both of them. However, most teacher certification programs require that you take at least a few classes in another language. It helps you to understand the main language better when you know a little about how other languages work.

  3. check with the requirements of your county/state.. it differs..
