Which 2000s team will you be modeling

1. 76ers (2001 finalist, coach: Larry Brown): Great defensive team and everyone fought hard to the board. But they had only one offense in AI (you can't ask much from Eric Snow, George Lynch, Tyrone Hill, and Mutombo, seriously).

2. Detroit Pistons (NBA title in 2004, coach: Larry Brown): The team starring Big Ben, Sheed, Prince, Rip, and Chauncey. This team embarrassed the f-4 from Lakers. The defense allow Lakers 99 for the highest (with an overtime), and 68 at the lowest.

3. San Antonio Spurs (2003, 2005, 2007 NBA champions, coached by Greg Poppovic): The team defense is amazing, and individual defense in Manu, Bowen, and Duncan are incredible. They out-defend Pistons in 2005 finals, too.

4. Boston Celtics (2008 NBA champion, coach: Doc Rivers): Best point diff/ in regular season at 10.3. They have defenders like KG, Pierce and Posey. They held LeBron to 35% and Kobe to 40% shooting. But they don't player the same defense the whole game.

  2. Hmm...

    PG-Michael Cooper

    SG-Michael Cooper

    SF-Michael Cooper

    PF-Michael Cooper

    C-Michael Cooper

  3. Pistons have better D than Celtics [I think Celtics were overrated. Said to have the best D? BS.], and I'd say they have the best D in the NBA. They had a huge chance to beat Celtics, but Billups was injured.Larry Brown is someone to fear when you think of D.

  4. Pistons had the best for the year, but as far as consistency, the Spurs for the last decade have been getting it done defensively.

Anytime you watch a Spurs game, you grimace and yawn...partly because the offense is boring, but also because the other team jacks up S****y jumpers and can't score. It's always in the 70's or 80's.

I also think the C's defense was overrated.

Remember, defense isn't hustle...it's how much you want it and how well you focus. All of these teams...you've mentioned one squad. The Spurs? They have three on your list. They're focus, dedicated, and want it.

  5. Detroit Pistons has the best defense so far. Especially when Big Ben was still with them. They crash boards, they block shots, and they do good in steals too. As a coach, it's pretty hard to create an offensive play against these bad boys. It's just the Celtic's year and no one can take that away from them.

  6. I would have to go with the 2004 Detroit Pistons. You have a defensive-minded coach & starting five. Then you have McDyess and a couple others off the bench what else could you ask for in a defensive team.

  7. 3 Spurs

  8. i have to go with the 2004 champs the detroit pistons. i also think that boston is overrated. this years its going to be houston, hahaha!
