I'm considering moving to Canada when I'm older and I'm French-Canadian. Since I have blood there, will I need to apply for a citizenship?

  1. Whatever your current citizenship, you will need to apply to immigrate to Canada.  If you have a spouse, parent, or child who is a Canadian citizen, that could help with immigration.  See site below to research immigration requirements.

  2. Having family in who are Canadian citizens living in Canada can help you immigrate but blood alone does not get you anything special.  Certain relatives can sponsor people and speed up the process.

  3. Have you ever lived in Canada?  Just because you have family here doesnt mean you automatically get citizenship.

  4. what is your citizenship?

if you have not given up your citizenship then i think that yes you can move back. if not then you need to talk to immigration and find out from them.

  5. If you weren't born in Canada, you'll need to apply for citizenship.  Blood lines don't matter in this country.

If you have relatives in Quebec, then contact them and get them to sponsor you if you're really interested in moving, then you will have a better chance.
