  1. There is no real material to study.

For the PSAT --unless you are aiming for National Merit, there is really no point in studying. Colleges don't see it and it is relatively easier than the SAT. So if you study for the SAT you should be fine for the PSAT

Study is more like "prepare" for the SAT. I would get a book of practice tests and just do them. Know the directions and format so you don't need to pay attention to that. And read up on current events regularly so you have a good essay topic and more exposure to vocab. Review Algebra 1, 2 and Geometry, as well as basic grammer (parallelism, agreement, and misplaced modifiers).

The best think to do is get a book and just study what they tell you to study. (Princeton Review works well)

  2. YOU SHOULD DO YOUR WORK ALL YEAR... AND PASS IT... THEN YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO STUDY...

  3. If you're serious about preparing, getting College Board's study guide is a good way to go.  They're the folks that write the real test so their questions are the best to practice from.

Another great resource is www.MyStudentEdge.com (powered by Peterson's test prep).  You'll need to register as a new user (use access code: XULGFRAD), but there is a full length course for the SAT and PSAT on there and it's totally free.  The great part about the online program is that you take a diagnostic test and it builds the course around what you need to improve.

    Good luck!
