If you wanted to divorce your spouse?

and knew he/she was about to pay off the house or a nice car.. etc.. would you wait until the final payment was made to file for divorce so you could take half of it?

house and car are completely different, and if you were smart and leaving for a proper reason then yes, but if it's for someone else then you need to leave with dignity.

Whatever he pays it with is half yours anyway. Assuming of course that it was earned while you were married.

It all would depend on why I wanted a divorce in the first place. If he cheated on me or something like that hel* yes.
