If you wanted to organize a demonstration to show how many Americans have died in the war in Iraq by having?

four thousand people lie down on the ground in rows how much space would you need? Could you do it on a school playground or a city park? If you blocked off a city street could you do it in one block by having people lie on the sidewalks and in the street or would you need more than one block?

If you do that why not be honest about it and have the vietnam dead honored too. You'd need 58,000 people to honor all of those killed in the war that Kennedy got us into and Johnson lost for us.

In order to have 4000 people lie side by side you'd need about one acre of space ( 40,000 square feet). ( at 9 sq/ft each)

If you wanted to honor the Vietnam dead you'd need about 12 acres or about 500,000 square feet.

Then to be truly honest you'd want to honor the dead from WW2 and Korea, the greatest generation.

For that you'd need 4,5 million sq/ft or 1,125 acres.

Is there some reason why you want to demonstrate how many guys have died in only this war?

Don't all of them deserve honoring?

Or are you trying to take a cheap shot at the war?

The funny thing is that those guys who gave their lives defending this great country and our freedom never protested against the wars in which they fought.

They were proud to be Americans and threy did what was necessary when their country called.

Instead of the showmanship and dumb protests why not pay a visit to Arlington National cemetery where so many of our young people, who made the ultimate sacrifice for America,  lie buried.

These men and women that have lost their lives in this war and every war that the U.S. has fought has done so that you and I have the freedom that we enjoy every day.

I am one of those who fought that we can enjoy this freedom and if I was able to I would enlist again right now!
