  1. Well you can go to a store such as walmart and get fabric freshener and detergent that is shrink resistant.

           Hope I helped!

  2. Not necessarily.  Check the labels on the clothing.  If the label specifcs wash in cold, then chances are these clothing items will shrink if washed in a warmer temperature.  If the labels reads wash in warm, you might be safe against shrinkage.  But the only downfall to washing in HOT water is fading.

    Good luck!!!

  3. It depends on the fabric. If its cotton THEN YES. I recommend you use cold on most items it helps the environment and won't shrink your clothing.

  4. They will shrink as well as fade.

  5. Hot water is bad for your clothes, your wallet and the environment. You should wash only in cold water.

  6. Maybe.  But I discovered the hard way that there is a potentially much more serious problem.  If you have hard water, tiny crystals of calcium salts can form in the fabric (these salts are less soluble in hot water than in cold), and these can cut the fabric, ruining it.  I lost a shirt to this fate; it simply disintegrated into shreds the next time I wore it.

  7. depending on the fabric but YES and will ruin the color as well
