If you wear 2 rubber bands on each side is it ok?

i have braces and i have to wear rubber bands the braces come off this march and i just re- started wearing rubber bands... if i wear 2 on each side will i get my braces off possibly sooner?

i think its fine, i always did that when i had braces and my teeth turned out fine, personally i think it speeds up the process

I am actually an orthodontic assistant and I can tell you that this is a bad idea. I suggest wearing what the doctor gave you. Wear them consistently as the doctor prescribed. Missing wearing them will only prolong your treatment. However, you do not necessarily know what exactly your doctor is trying to correct and to what degree. There are many different strengths of elastics. He/She gave you a certain type of rubber band to attain a certain effect. Doubling up on your rubber bands will also make you extremely sore in the end and more likely not to wear them.

No. It can mess up your teeth. They will move in a direction that your orthodontist doesn't want them to move.

thats a really bad idea,  the orthodontist would have given you stronger bands if he felt like it would go faster
