a tampon and a pad at the same time at school,

that way to avoid leakage,

how long can you keep the tampon in for so that way you don't have to change it that much at school?

its always 6 to 8 hours no matter if u wear a pad with ur tampon or not.

use a tampon that is as big as your v****a allows. I aways use supers. smaller like to slide around or leek.

According to instructions you should change your tampon every 4-8 hours.

Even if you decide to double up so you don't have an accident your still going to want to change more frequent so you don't get an odor.

You should change your pads/tampons as much as you can. To avoid diseases, and just being dirty.

If you don't want to go to the washroom at school alot, then you should go home for lunch. That way you can change your pad/tampon right before school in the morning, then at lunch change it, then when you get home.

If you can though, you should use the washroom at recesses or any time you can. Then change it right after school when you get home.

You should be very clean when it comes to that stuff.

The only problem is that during your period it is even more moist down there and can increase your chances of getting an infection due to lack of air down there.  Infections grow best in warm moist conditions and by having a tampon and a pad it could create just that type of environment.  Plus if you actually are having a really bad leakage then you probably should visit your doctor to get some advice on how to better control your flow. A tampon should be changed about every four hours as suggested by Tampax's, "Info for New Users" Pamphlet that my sister brought home from school.  If you are using a super or a super plus that some brands offer then that should be able to hold you on your heaviest flow for two to four hours.  If you are leaking on those in less than two hours then it is time to visit your doctor.
