  1. If you are into art (or the Dan Brown conspiracy thingy), you can go to see the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci (You must book in advance at the website below).

I would also visit the Duomo, stroll through the galleria and the go to Scala Theatre.

You could also catch a train to Lake Como (less then two hours from the city centre, I would say) which is a lovely place, and spend the day there.

Apart from this, you can shop in the fashionable and expensive Via Montenapoleone.

  2. I would go to the Duomo (cathedral) it is beautiful inside , you can also walk on the roof and in good weather you can see for miles, the mountains in the distance. Then you could walk through the galleria (arcade) which is also beautiful and next to the duomo. Then at the end of that not far is laScala the opera house. The strange thing I also think is worth a look at , I was taken to see this on a guided tour is a cemetery close by and I have never seen anything like it, massive monuments and bronze sculptures, this is a place where the rich and famous are buried.Lake Como is a must and there is a ferry which can take you to various places on the lake, its worth a visit to Belaggio which is on como, there are also some wonderful gardens that are open to the public.Hope you enjoy, I loved it ,visited twice and would return again.

  3. Milan not particularly renouned for too many sites - mainly a shopping city.

  4. Milan is nice although not the average Italian city with too much roman ruins or too mush sites. It is more businesslike and ideal for shopping.

Check out the Duomo, which is really impressive,

La Scala, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele - ideal for shopping, Santa Maria delle Grazie with the Last Supper, but I think they require reservations well in advance, and of course Castello Sforzesco.

  5. Hi I'm italian and I live near milano. What corious cat tells you is wright, but lke como is a little far...instead take bus at the station and visit bergamo(50 minutes):città alta is a old fashion city.enjoy your travel.hope to help you

  6. HONESTLY..BOOK VENICE..MILAN IS DIRTY AND NOT VERY NICE...SAME AS NYC!
