Question:

If you were Palin....?

If you were asked to be John McCain's running mate, would you say yes?

I mean, if you were asked as a 2 year gov. of a modestly populated state like Alaska and John Mccain, who is one greasy burger away from a heart attack, would you say yes?

I mean, most VPs must consider what they would do if they were called to the oval office, but for her it's gotta be a distinct possibility right?

:)

"When Republicans and independents go into the voting booth, will they have the confidence to vote for a McCain-Palin ticket, knowing that John McCain has had several recurrences of his skin cancer, and will be the oldest President ever? Can they imagine Sarah Palin stepping into the Oval Office and dealing with all the problems we face right now? The Russians and the terrorists must be quaking in their boots" http://www.huffingtonpost.com/linda-bergthold/the-vp-choice-that-lost-t_b_122381.html

  1. I would step up to the plate.

I am thrilled by the choice of Palin.  She has exactly as much experience as "senator" Obama, and twice as many balls.

  2. What scares me is the fact that if McCain does kick the bucket that would leave a premenopausal female in charge of the button..do you want that answering the phone at 3am? I surely dont and i am a hillary supporter!

Not to take anything away from who she is but i have an issue with her running this country when she has a 4 month old with special needs, i think her time would be better served working on her family. What happened to family first? Will she be able to be a mother and run this country or will she rely on our tax paying dollars to raise her kid. I just cant see her spending the long hours and the dedication that the job requires..something will suffer and either choice her child or the country is the wrong choice.

  3. Palin is something else. She took on the corrupt people in her own party, took a lot of heat, and came out on top. She has an 80% approval rating in Alaska, because she has proven herself to be an excellent and honest incorruptible leader who won't take c**p from anyone, and walked through fire to prove it.

Sarah is more qualified than Obama by a long shot, and she is running for VP, not president like Obama. She has mayoral experience, and Gubernatorial experience, which are executive offices. Obama, nor Biden has one minute of executive experience, not even running a small business, and they are running for the top executive spot in the country.

It blows me away that democrats can question her experience while their own people, both candidates, don't even come close to her experience where it counts.

And as far as Character? Obama and Biden are just not even close to this woman. She is one serious candidate, unlike any we have seen in decades.

  4. Hypothetically, if I were asked, and if I did have Palin's bio, I would respectfully DECLINE.

I feel McCain's choice of a VP only reinforces my opinion of his choices in all things.

  5. She was the mayor of a town 6,500 strong (that's not a city) and governor of a state of 700,000 (less than a tenth the size of Los Angeles County).  She's not qualified at all.

But it's a good opportunity for her.  This may be her only chance to hit it big.
