I adopted a soldier from www.soldiersangels.com, after doing some researcrh. I am supposed to send 1-2 letters a week, along with 1-2 care packages a month. I'm just wondering what I should send in the care package that they would benefit from, I do not know if my adopted soldier is a male or female eather. thanks, 10 points will be given.

  1. well powerade or gatorade for power.  Or a nice letter(thank you letter).

  2. Send personal care products ex toothpaste, mouth wash, soap, and shampoo. Also gatorade is nice to have to give the water a little flavor, playing cards or some sort of board game. Something to read and/or some music would be nice to have, and cookies in an unmarked box are always welcomed.

Baby Wipes lots and lots of Baby Wipes. If you ask is this enough, it probably isn't. I went through about 6packs in the 2 months I was in Baghdad.

  3. A copy of Bush/Cheney's resignation letters, or Articles of Impeachment. Short of that, maybe a Bush/Cheney dartboard?

  4. Chocolate chip cookies, travel magazines with pictures of nice places to visit, good cigars $5 - $10, body powder.  When you contact your soldier make sure they send you their e-mail address as most won't take the time to write a letter.  Ask them what they want.

  5. Where is your soldier ? Send snacks..nothing that will melt..a Sports page..a deck of cards. Things that don't take much space...hit the 99 cent samples...whatever yo send will be send or passed on.

  6. Ignore the anti-war trolls.

Most soldiers like candy (but no chocolate during the summer because it will melt on the way there), hygene products, movies, and other reminders of home.  Do not send any pornography or alcohol because those things violate General Order Number 1 and can get them in trouble.  When you start writing them you can ask specifically what they want.

  7. A ticket home.

  8. 40% in iraq are on SSRIs/ tranquilizers , so lexapro , prozac ,valium , xanax ,  etc .

  9. s***w these a******s who are too chicken to go to war. The most valuable things are-

    Baby wipes

    nuts

    sunblock

    candy bars

    Magizines

    cards

    cigs

    underarmor shirt

dvds (even though he can buy themm there)

    major news papers
