If you were a pregnant teen would you keep the baby?

if i were to get pregnant now i would have no choice but to give it up, because I'm enrolled in college i currently have no job

and the child's wellness comes first i would give it up at birth as heart breaking as it is.

Most likely, I would have.  I think its safe to say that no one is ever 100% sure what they'd do in any situation until they are actually faced with it though.

I don't know. I've never been in the situation, so I don't know what I would feel. I'll have to wait until the time comes (if it comes.) But it's strange, I had a dream last night that I had a baby, and I saw her face. She was beautiful. So after that dream, I don't think I could ever give my child up for adoption of have an abortion. Although i'm not against abortions, nor for them. I'm pro-choice.

I'm 15, earning about $9 an hour at Subway. A baby costs a lot more than that. I'm not ready for a baby, both literally and emotionally. I'd give it for adoption. There are so many loving parents out there that could do a better job than me.

I can't stand it when teens are irresponsible enough to get pregnant then keep the baby! If you were responsible enough to be a mum/dad, you wouldn't have gotten pregnant in the first place! Adoption gives the baby a life the teen never would have been able to give them.

Absolutely. I take care of my little niece who is 5 months old now anyway. I have her a couple times a week plus I took care of her for the first month she was born full time because her mother had a c-section. I could never stand to think of something that is part of me being raised by someone else.

I'm 15 and if I had a baby now I would definitely give him or her up for adoption. I'd like an open adoption though. I was adopted from South America and I've always thought about meeting my birth mom. I'm not even sure where to start looking if I'd want to really meet her and since it was in SA, the records would be nearly impossible to find. That's besides the point though, if I were in my later teens I would most likely keep the baby.

I would keep it because I could not bear to think she/he might be out in the world suffering and I would be responsible for that.

I went through a lot of abuse as a child. When I did have my two daughters I went through a lot of stress over their safety, unnecessarily so since their world was safer than mine.  I just couldn't bear to think of my child alone and badly treated, it is too much for me.

thats really a tough one, but knowing how my life has been i think i would have the abortion. it sounds horrible, but i think it would be the best decision for me. Ive always wanted to be a mother, but, for me, being a teen mother is not what would be best for my children.

even though i didnt get prego as a teen, i did have my "suprise" baby when i was in my last semester of college. i was lucky because i got to finish, and i dont regret having the baby. i was financially secure, in good standing with my boyfriend, and already living on my own. if i'd gotten an abortion it would have been for selfish reasons of just wanting to party and have fun. but as a teen, there is so much school left, including college. you can really provide so much more for your children when you have a college education. Plus,I know several women in their late 20s and early 30s that were teen mothers. They never grew up mentally. They are still chaseing that idea of being a teen...they keep trying to catch up on what they have missed so they are still partying hard and the ones who suffer are the children.

Adoption would never be right for me... I couldnt live if I knew my child was out there, not knowing if he/she were safe.

Yes, though I would hope I wouldnt have to experience that. I'm not against abortion or anything its just not something I would be able to do. My sis had a baby at 15, and it all worked out. But shes got some troubles because of that, but what can you really expect?

I could only hope that if I was in that situation I would have the support of the guy that is the father, and of course family.

well right now i always say oh i would get an aborton, simple as that.

but i know if i ever did get pregnant i wouldnt be able to do that.

so yeah id keep it.

i couldnt even consider adoption.. i know it sounds selfish but i just wouldnt be able to give up something that was apart of me for 9 months yah know?

but i dont have to even worry about anything of this cause i dont plan to have s*x anytime soon lol
