  1. A complete game no hitter is one of the most difficult tasks in any sport. It's like hitting the cycle in baseball or hitting a hole in one in golf. And 99 times out of 100, the no hitter will also be a shutout.

  2. Well I would rather have a no hitter it's much rarer than a shut out. In a shut out, you will give up hits but no runs but it seems obvious that any one would rather throw a no hitter than a shut out even though a win is a win.

  3. A real pitcher only cares about giveing his team a chance to win

  4. Id rather throw many many shutouts than get lucky and throw one no-no.  I mean how many pitchers have thrown no-no's and just been below average for the rest of their career.

  5. No hitter, since most are shut outs as well. ( Darryl Kile gave up an unearned run against the Mets in his no-no in 1993)

  6. ok what dont you get no-hitter better thats like asking if you rather get eaten by a shark or have a nice day wow stupid!

    DEDADE!

  7. perfect game....

  8. a shutout only if i don't don't give up any runs in the no-hitter

  9. Oh gee, I wonder which one?

    Duh...George, I is petting a bunny. Doy....

  10. No hitters are often but not always shutouts. Even so, a no-hitter is much rarer than a shutout, but just to muddy it more you have to consier a no-hitter is typically a complete game. I suppose only Roy Halliday throws 9 inning shut outs anymore but even so, I'd take the no-hitter, regardless of final score. Much rarer achievement.

  11. i think my IQ just fell 36 points after reading this

  12. no hitter

  13. Ummm duhh? A no-hitter.  Any pitcher can throw a shut out.

  14. No hitter! Many pitchers have gotten shutouts but really it is nothing big. A no hitter on the other hand is a piece of history, you must be a elite pitcher or a very good young one to get a no hitter. Also a no-hitter is also a shutout.
