Would you rather have 1 gold medal or 2 silver ones?

And WHY?

1 gold! i'd rather 1 gold than 6536354639295634685862345682456046539934... to the power of infinity squared times a 100000000000 silver medals. Nothing beats coming first. second is horrible. p.s. im second to none.

1 gold medal is way better than 5 silver medals. i dont know why US media dont see it that way. in yahoo! homepage we still see the US flag on top of china...that's ridiculous. China is a far worse country than USA but in the olympics China owns USA.

One gold medal. Having a Gold medal means so much for you individually that you are the best in a particular event that you competed in and for your country, It brings so much pride getting a Gold medal.

In addition having a Gold medal means that you have lived the olympics motto. Citius Altius Fortius which is translated into Faster, Higher, Stronger.

One gold, of course. Getting a gold would mean you are the best. Only those who can't get gold medals would settle for silver.

What a great question. I honestly would rather have one gold medal. I would want to know that at once, at least for a snapshot in time, I was the best of the best. It would be awesome to stand on the podium with the Star Spangled Banner playing as well.

to be an olympian you have to have worked sooo amazingly hard all your life

to stand at the top of your game would just be amazing

you'd be achieving a goal of blood, sweat and tears with 20years

i was talking to a coach at my school and she was telling me what went through her head when she won commonwealth gold
