  1. No thanks. If they wanted to make some sort of news article, yes, provided I'd seen it first. But plastering something that should be in a personal diary all over the internet - I find it distasteful when adults do it. No way would I let my kid.

  2. My son is only 5 so I don't really have to make this decision yet. If I did I think it would depend on his age- anything under 14 and I don't think I'd let him. There are a lot of really mean people/trolls on youtube and I wouldn't want my child exposed to that. I think a lot of people would be surprised to see some of the disgusting, insulting & degrading comments people leave on that site. If I did decide to let him I'd want to watch any video before he posted it because kids can accidentally let personal info slip and that could be dangerous. Maybe I'm paranoid but I don't even post pics of my little guy on my myspace page lol.

  3. As long as I was able to see it and approve of the content.

  4. good

  5. my son is 10 and i allow him to watch youtube (once I've watched it to check it) but i wouldn't let him video himself on there. i would let him create a cartoon video or something of that nature. but i think vlog is something adults should do and not children under 18.

  6. I am a parent of children ranging in ages from 5 to almost 24.  My children are not allowed on the internet.  There is no good reason for them to be on.  It is a very dangerous place for kids to be.  People can find out things that you wouldn't ever know.  Pedophiles lurk everywhere.  A video will show things in the background alerting them to where your child is...different landmarks that they can figure out and they already know what your child looks like.

  7. Yeah know I have been on youtube many times and my younger brothers go on there too and I have seen some videos that were "SOOO" not appropriate and god knows how old the girls were or in some cases how old the men were. I think that if more parents were to monitor what their children put on youtube or myspace or facebook that there would be less hassle for a cleaner internet when it comes to our children.

I will view the content my son shares with the world here on the internet if he does in the future but I think that parents are lacking in the responsibility area and half don't even know what there child's user name is.

  8. I'm a mother, and I wouldn't let my son put a video of himself on the internet. Too many sickos that could watch it for reasons other than what he intended. I wouldn't allow it.

  9. all videos would be supervised. people would not be able to contact my child on youtube or any other website for any reason. I would be the editor in chief. then they could vlog away...it a crazy world out there..i dont want any psychopath claiming to fall in love with my son or daughter on youtube and then me having to kill said individual...

  10. I would be okay with it as long as I approve the content beforehand. If they protest against that, then you know they're planning on doing something bad with vlogging.
