You must also remember that an employer has to make you want to work for hm so it is a two way thing, You are both investigating one another and you are to be a hired hand not a slave. Therefore I think you must be able to tell him that you are capable of  learning quickly and working accurately with a minimum of supervision. You will have to convince him that you can work as part of a team. Don't throw it at him all at once you will frighten him. That question to my mind shows an arrogance  which is only acceptable if at all in times of high unemployment      

For goodness sake don't go looking for an argument  take no c**p but don't let them think they are talking bul-sh-t and try to tactfully find out what they can do for you. I hope you have researched the company so that you have achance of asking a couple of intelligent quuestions
