If you were found at fault in a accident and could not afford the bills, what should i do?

my insurance can only cover $20,000 for medical and property damage..they sent me a note that it already exceeded the amount, and shes still in the hospital. i am in the reserve unit and i dont make that much, i am also working as a temporary in a company where the pay is not that much either..i also live with my dad in an apartment and pay for the rent.my car has to be fixed and i dont have money..what are some possible ways to do in order to get through this mess?i havent been to college yet thats why i couldnt get a decent job.i was planning though, but this what happened....help..

  1. You will likely be sued.

If you are found to be financially responsible then ask to set up a payment plan.  Depending on the total amount, you may have to declare backruptcy.  Please see if you can get better insurance for the future with higher medical coverage.  A trip to the emergency room can cost 20K by itself and than doesn't even count surgeries, tests. or hospital admission.
