  1. Barnstaple in North Devon, it's a nice mix of town life and close to a lot of beaches and tourist attractions.

I lived there for 4 years and still regularly go back.

  2. Erm, I would erm,go, somewhere in the UK also.

  3. Dartmoor in glorious Devon - without a doubt.  It's got everything you need for a great holiday.

  4. We usually go to Devon or Cornwall but next year we're thinking we'll head either up towards Cumbria or up into the Scottish Highlands.

  5. Try the Isle of Bute in Scotland. Traffic free, utterly beautiful, completely in a different time-worp. For a collection of actual traveller experiences, blogs, reviews, photos etc visit: http://del.icio.us/RogerMortimer

  6. There is nowhere outside the large cities I would not go. But Edinburgh York Liverpool (of course) and if desperate

perhaps Manchester but only if desperate of course. In fairness both of the latter have a lot going for them.  I enjoy London to an extent but the best thing after a day or so is the road North. I also like newcastle and the Hadrian's wall Country . I am going there again in a couple of weeks time

  7. Cornwall  for surfing or Tenby for the body boarding, both ace places.

  8. Does the Isle of Man count as UK?

Its just a very short flight from the mainland - so you feel like you are going away on holiday

It is filled with very friendly people

There are lovely beaches for when the sun shines

Other attractions for when it rains - Steam Trains, Electric Trams, Horse Trams, museums, galleries, castles...

    Amazing glens to walk

    Breath-taking scenery

    Delicious food

    Fun Nightlife

And if thats not enough, you might even catch the Southern 100, or Manx TT, or the Car Rally.

  9. Harlyn Bay This is one of the aptly named 7 bays for 7 days located between Padstow and Newquay on the North Cornwall coast The other 6 bays are also fantastic its just that Harlyn is our favorite. Type in 7 bays for 7 days Cornwall on the Internet and you can find photos and info about the area.

I am a Cornish man living in the Midlands who originates from Tintagel.  As nice as the beaches are around Tintagel the mentioned beach beats  them all. Sorry to my ex neighbours  from Tintagel.

  10. Devon, Brixham.. Very lovely, clean beaches/sea, lovely weather and lovely views :D

  11. The west coast of Scotland it is beautiful there.
