I need to replace all 4 of them, but I was wondering if there is a more beneficial way to go about replacing them? Front or back first?

  1. My personal opinion would be to replace the front over the rear because you will see more dramatic effect/change in handling from the front over the rear.

  2. The front would give you the most bang for your buck. Steering is affected by the suspension components, and helps to keep the tires properly gripping the road surface. The rear merely smooths the ride.

You will feel a tremendous difference when the front struts are replaced.

Also, if you are mechanically inclined, the struts are a do-it-yourself project. I replaced all four on my older Corolla, and it took me about 3 hours. The only specialized tool you need is a spring compressor, which you can rent/borrow from an auto parts store.

  3. Hi, it depends on the condition of the struts.  But if you were to change it just for the sake of changing them then the front would be more advantageous in terms of steering feel and dampening.

I would suggest to change all of them at the same time.  Please check out our website for struts for your vehicle. http://www.street-power.com/tohpseshsett...
