  1. I always planned to send both mine at 11, when English kids go to secondary school (and that's when we sent my daughter), but we're sending my son at 9 because he's so bored and unhappy at his state school.

  2. If there are entering elementary school try to send them at an early age so that they have pleanty of time to get use to and make new friends. I would recomend 2nd or 3rd grade. If you send them to old they will have to make new friends and get use to a new school. The same thing goes for high school students. The best time to place you child in a private high school is when he/she freshman. This way they won't feel like they are the "new kid". All of their classmates will be going through the same thing this making it easier for him/her to fit in.

  3. Feel free to experiment with different educational styles during elementary school.  When he hits middle school (grade 6), you need to think about stability more because this is when strong and lasting bonds of friendship are made and necessary for healthy social interactions and development.
