Say your a heavy smoker and you wake up from a coma would you still be craving for a cigarette?

  1. My mum was in a coma for three months. After she came out of hospital she lasted about a week before she started to smoke again.


  2. Your body no longer craves it because you've not had any nicotine input for however long. But that doesn't stop your mind craving it, that's a different thing.

  4. No. If you were in a Coma, your brain would start shutting down and you would be reduced to a handicapped person. Cigarette cravings come from a dependency on the nicotine in them. No nicotine for a while is the same thing as quitting.

  5. You won't be craving it because your body will no longer need nicatine but...if you remembered you were a smoker you will be lighting up as soon as you leave the hospital... if you don't remember you will probably not smoke.
