  1. i think the only realistic answer to this question is yes...i have in the past.

but i cant read the future, and neither can anyone else.

theres always some one better. or maybe you're having a bad day, or fighting a weapon, or multiple attackers....its just to hard to say

  2. Only if it's under 11 people.

  3. What is the obsession with street fights?  The simple answer is that I would not get into a street fight.  I don't hang out in bars, I don't go walking down dark alleys, and I don't get into confrontations with people.

Now, could I handle myself in a self-defense situation?  I certainly hope so, but I also hope that I never find out.

  4. depends on the situation like tom said but in a straight up fight i could hold my own even if i lost the guy would remember that particular fight lol but fighting in the street for no reason is pointless....i dont want to fight outside of a ring unless i have too too much of a margin for bad outcomes...

  5. If they had a gun, about a 60% success rate, considering that they're untrained, knife, bout 70% success if I'm quicker, bare hands, I'd say 95% if they're untrained, 60% if they're an experienced martial artist, 80% if it were a large group 8+ 90% if it were a small group 2+ and around 25% for about 2 martial artists.

  6. ya of course being a black belt with 9 1/2 years training plus being an amateur boxing and standig 6ft one inch tall and weighing in at a trim 140 pounds ( im only 15) id mess most dudes up unless there really big or r just plain better or tougher i dont wanna sound cocky but theres not to many ppl my age around but if a larger or older person tried me id be dirty and win

  7. It's "iffy"...

My martial arts training teaches me to:

    1. Avoid a situation

    2. Walk away.

    3. Run away.

    4. Seek assistance (preferably a police officer)

    5. Find a weapon for myself.

    6. Use my martial art.

The chances of my ending up in a street fight are slim to remote in the first place.

If I do, I always carry a walking stick (my martial arts weapon of choice) so I always have a weapon and I know how to use it.

Street fighters usually don't go up against people who are better armed than they are.

If it gets that far, my objective is to disable my assailants and get safely away.

Why would a person CHOOSE to stick around and fight it out if they have an opportunity to get away?

  8. basicly my answer is the same as Rob B.'s. Street fighting is pointless and solves nothing. There is a huge difference between street fighting and self defense, and if you need to know what it is look at any of my answers on the subject.

  9. That's a pretty vague questions. There's a ton of factors that could determine the outcome.

    How many people?

    Are they trained?

    Do they have weapons?

    How big are they?

In a simple one on one street fight, no weapons, and no formal training situation it would be pretty simple to end a street fight quickly regardless of size and strength.

I have to assume this would be answered differently by people trained in various practises.

  10. Against your average joe the same size I think I'd do pretty good. Maybe even against two average joes.

But if weapons come into the mix, I'll lose by forfeit. Whatever I'm fighting over, it surely is worthless then a human life. :P

  11. If you mean that if I were randomly attacked by some unknown person can I defend myself. The answer is yes.

By the way there is no such thing as fighting dirty in self defense. It is called survival.

  12. yeah-- I don't know about properly-- but the other dudes end up with stitches/ surgery-- me- NADA
