I heard someone the other days say something about bush lied to go to war in Iraq.He said that the people in the military signed up for that.I told him that that's not true they didn't sign up for that. They signed up to protect America from all enemies both foreign and domestic. There were no WMDs and bush knew it.They lied and played on the fears and emotions of the country following 911.Any weapons of mass destruct ions Saddam had he got them from reagan /older bush to use on the Iranians and he used them on the kurds. The U.S government knew what he had and how much he had because they gave chemicals to him.He blamed it on the cia and bad intelligent another lie.The people in the military do not question orders they do what they are told. That is why they people in charge should be held accountable for misuse of the military .NO American military personnel should ever be sent to war for a lie.He broke the trust in a very bad way.And no one is holding these people accountable. It is clear that they couldn't care less.If a president want to send our kids to war he should ask himself this question," do I believe in this cause to the point that I would send my own children". After all sending my son or your daughter would cause me the same pain as it would cause you if I send yours. If it is not worth sending the presidents kids it is not worth sending mine. All of this so-called moral values went out the window.KBR no bid contracts making a boat load of money and the oil companies are waiting in the wings to get theirs .All we have for the dead , injured and the young men and women who are doing 15 month tours in Iraq are our prays. For the bush administration Shame on you George Bush /d**k Chaney and the rest of that war for oil bunch

  1. "Ours is not to reason why, Ours is but to do or die"

    Alfred Lord Tennyson

  2. There is no need for war.  From what I heard, the war was started by something the USA did first.  It wasn't bad it was just intimidating.

  3. Its' not always a question of moral values-people inevitably do the most unspeakable things in a war. A war without purpose is the only other thing that is worse than this. Sadly the powers that be take advantage of such devotion to country. The pool of willing participants is all but diminished and that is a terrible thing. The participants of World War two did not suffer from any moral qualms as they fought a just war for freedom, namely,OURS. Certainly not the limited agenda of the oil companies.

  4. I would be angry. But, he didn't lie. Read the link below. It is the text of the Congressional Authorization for Offensive Military Operations in Iraq, passed by the Congress in October of 2002. Begin reading after the first "whereas" for the reasons behind the offensive.

  5. I did not read all of that, but when you sign up for the military in any country, you are signing up for a world of foul playing government. You are putting yourself up to do what you are ordered to do.

  6. I'm not reading your entire novel because it's pointless. Number one you watch CNN too much. If you remember correctly before the US/UN inspection we had proof on satellite readings of WMD's. Bush knew they had them with all that time they had getting rid of them before the inspection how they did it is beyond me. This CONFLICT was not for oil. I can tell you are very un educated on this CONFLICT because there is no WAR in IRAQ it's a conflict it is not a declared war. Myself and my brothers enlisted in this powerful US MILITARY to protect our fellow Americans from foreign and dometic enemies. Saddam threatened the US and Bush didn't take time to sit back and wait seeing what happened in 2001.

"I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy the enemies of the United States in close combat" When I learned my Soldier's Creed I mean it.

  7. Civilians may see it one way....but even if he lied, I would be doing the duty I signed up to do. No regrets about it.
