1) Minimum-wage with zero benefits included?

2) Competitive industry type wages with some benefits included?

3) Or a 'living wage' with all benefits included and some extra incentives thrown in?

Democrat, Republican, or Independent, what would you do?

Me? I would chose the third option--as a former Democrat--turned Independent.

Because I look around the city I live in and I see people *struggling* to make ends meet. Bare minimum-wage just isn't cutting it anymore.

We need something more to live on--if we're going to survive.

  1. Sarcasm I see. Civic Currency plus Twenty an hour as opposed to ten an hour minimum. If such even good.

  2. Doesn't tell me how many employees I have, how much of a profit margin $20 million is (or is that my personal income?), and how well the employees perform.

I'm driven towards 2.  Have to pay enough to make employees feel it is worth their time for that wage.  A workplace that's well run with minimal drama and actual chemistry between workers is often worth quite a bit.  Throwing money at the problem isn't the answer, it's in a deeper infrastructure.

    Independent.

  3. 3. Not driven by party ideas.

  4. 3...but I'd retire after the first year...slacker

  5. In order to keep the good employees I would be paying a premium salary.

  6. i'm making $20 million a year.

i have 20 employees.  i would pay them half a million a year.  that leaves me enough to help when needed and just in case of lawsuits.

  7. 1. Republican.

  8. I wouldn't. I'd work one year, retire, get a place out in the middle of nowhere, and s***w the rest of the world.

Oh, and btw...I have no political affiliation. Labels are for sheep.

  9. 3.  Each step down would be incremental and in proportion to my own salary.  I also think that if you take good care of your employers they will take better care of you.

    Democrat.

  10. I would pay competitive wages with standard benefits.

I would also provide bonuses to employees based on company profits and individual achievement.

I would reward incentive and concern for the welfare of the company.  Those who are only willing to provide minimum performance will get minimum benefits.

    Conservative.
