Would you just quit running if you new you weren't going to win the Gold, Silver or Bronze? I see these girls running their hearts out even though they already lost 20 seconds ago.

  2. No theres a Tanzanian who was injured and limped into the stadium in the evening when the race was over and pple had left the stands there was only a few left and the few clapped for him as he limped in what he told the journalists when they asked him why he didnt give up inspires me to this day he said "my country didnt send me here to start the race they sent me here to finish"

  3. I don't think you could make it to the Olympics if you quit every race that you weren't going to win.  It's an attitude thing.

  4. No way!

You have to finish.  If you aren't going to win a medal, then you have to do it for yourself.

  5. Good on them for keeping on running...the Olympic ideal is to take part not just to win a medal

  6. Your running for your country not just yourself, plus they all have personal bests they are trying to improve on.
