...what could have told Newton about gravity based on your current knowledge?

I'm not sure, I would have been in a crazy fantasy land where this myth actually happened. I suppose though that I would say that though his understanding is correct, it will be shown later that is does not hold for things that he doesn't even know about and is actually much more complicated, but to go with it anyway.

- Gravitational mass and inertia mass are different.

- His second law is non-collinear at the molecular level.

- His laws only work for really big stuff moving really slowly.
