How would you stop catastrophic global warming?

I would make it illegal to make unproven claims that man made global warming exists. The scare tactics of the GW cult is driving up oil prices and causing food shortages which are real problems caused by an imaginary one. But if global warming was real I would mandate Al Gore could not open his mouth and release any more hot air.

I would phase-out all coal power plants and most natural gas power plants and replace them with renewables like solar thermal, geothermal, and wind.  Nuclear plants can stay, but we wouldn't build any new ones.  Eventually they would be phased-out as well.

All gas powered cars would be phased out.  Plug-in hybrids and fully electric cars would replace them over time.  I would establish a carbon cap and trade system, and use the money obtained by selling the carbon credits to fund renewable energy and alternative fuel vehicle R&D and subsidies.

Wealthy nations would help developing nations establish a renewable energy power structure.  We got rich burning fossil fuels, so it's our duty to use some of that wealth to help other countries which will otherwise pay the price for our carbon emissions.

I would also fund research to find an alternative fuel for air travel, probably some form of biofuel, probably from algae oil.

Overall I would ensure that my policies resulted in a 90% worldwide greenhouse gas emissions reduction by 2050.  I would attempt to eventually stabilize the atmospheric CO2 concentration at 350 ppm.

Beat all of the cars and trucks into a monorail run on a combination of solar, nuclear, and methane for power.

Situate beef and dairy farms so they have a French Drain system safe to the critters and channel the methane producers into tanks to be converted to fuel.

Make sure the homeless and poverty stricken are given opportunity to Homestead vacant farms and provide health and clean food and take care of the land.

Stop careless strip mining and drilling to such depths. Re-use and Recycle.

Unless one of my advisors could prove beyond a doubt the theory of AGW is real I would do nothing. In 30 years with $50 billion in research they havent found any proof yet so I dobut it would happen.

I would instead concentrate of better understanding the earths climate systems and reducing man made pollution like particulate matter rather than targetting a natural gas like co2

Then I would build a galactic star fleet and go after the remaining AGW supporters hiding on thier hidden moon base with my solar powered death star!

1. Appoint a high tribunal that will justify my decrees.

2. Enlighten the world that only my needs will be met

3. Anyone that shows obstanance shall be labeled a Heretic and Skeptic.

4. My views shall be indoctrinated into the essence of society.

5. No other science or dogma shall be permitted.

6. All teachings of freedom or independence will face sever and dire consequences.

7. Promote servitude by obedience

8. Increase taxation/penitence by any means.

9. Propagate fear and chaos to those that don't conform.

10. My imperial power shall be supreme and ultimate.
