even after you tried your very best to work out a profitable deal between the two of you? What could convince you to return, and what would you try to offer to Yahoo's CEO to get them to go along with your business plan against Google?

  1. heck no. I would spend my time improving the lousy software.

  2. At the right price it would be irresponsible not to

  3. Two Hundred Million email accounts and an established platform that could be turned into competition to google if run properly. Sure, but I'd wait till the current board are ousted.

  4. Microsoft offered more money per share I think it was last year when they tried to buy Yahoo before.  Yahoo declined the money and said that they were worth more than what MSFT offered.

This year, MSFT offered them a huge premium to YHOO's stock price again (although lower than last year's offer) because Yahoo did nothing to show that it was worth more than last year's offer.

No one has offered to buy Yahoo out in the past few years.  If I were MSFT, I would just wait it out because YHOO is just a declining company according to their financial sheets.  MSFT can wait another year and then offer another lower buyout price.  I can't see Lang turning down MSFT 3 times after realizing that YHOO isn't worth as much as they thing they are.
