I would love to see them do something like this for the guy. He's been in hiding ever since that day and I think it would be a great way for the Cubs (and Cubs fans) to show him that we don't blame him for what hapened in 2003, and also that we still like having him as a Cubs fan.

  1. I'm with Buzz - don't do it during the series, wait until they win the series, then during the warm "hey, we can all laugh about it now" afterglow, have Bartman come out for him moment of forgiveness.

  2. Bartman? He doesn't even make the list. The person who should throw out the first pitch should be Mr.Cub - Ernie Banks.Of course, that's if he is still alive when the Cubs make it to a World Series.

  3. dont get ur hopes up CUBS SUCK

  4. No because some idiot Cub fan would bring a gun for sure.

  5. Well, that is quite an entertaining thought. I don't think the majority of Cubs fans would have it though. And that's who he really needs some slack from. Like you said, the organization has done alot for him.

    He's freakin famous.

  6. They won't because some of the idiot fans would think this would bring them bad luck, when the fact is they should be blaming Alex Gonzalez for their collapse, not some guy in the stands.

Now if the Cubs win the WS, you'll definitely see Bartman throw a ball out before some game during the season - the same way Buckner did for the Sox the year after they won the WS.

  7. ONLY if he (2003) rides a goat (ala 1945) to the mound, carrying a black cat (1969).

  8. Good Idea! He is still hiding. People are still trying to make money off of that poor guy!

  9. If I were Bartman and the Cubs asked, I'd tell them to take their first pitch and shove it up their asses. They hung him out to dry like the dirtbag organization they are.

  10. You are crazy. I can't believe you are a Cubs fan and want to jerk with the curse like that. I lived through one of these things as a Red Sox fan until well into my adult years. What you are suggesting is a 100% disaster, not a question about it.

If the Cubs win, maybe he can be officially forgiven. But what he did was really idiotic beyond belief. Every true baseball fan knows you get the h**l out of the way when your own team is reaching into the stands. Honestly, it made me question Cubs fans as a group, because if that had been in Fenway, there would have been 35,000 fans shouting "Get the f--k out of the way, meat!"
