  1. First and by far most important would to be finding a playmaking center to turn Nash into the superstar he could be. Trading for Umberger was a great move, they needed to add at least 2 quality wingers...1 down, at least 1 more to go. Depth at the blueline needs to be addressed, they dont need to find a stud, just a quality guy who can move the puck and play responsible on the backend. Depth with good character guys who can be 3rd and 4th line guys that can chip in an odd goal here and there would be nice, putting all the pressure on Nash to carry the offense wont get them anywhere come playoff time, notice how easily the Wings could shut down individual players? The playmaker at center has to be priority #1, if they sign Malone after Umberger then they will have had a solid offseason, if they get a center they wil have had a great offseason and will vault into being a consistant playoff team.

  2. I'd sign Ryan Malone in the off season.

Can you imagine that now.......Umberger - Nash - Malone? That'd be wicked.

  3. i would do anything that would improve my defence.

that's number one over getting nasher a center...because there are some decent c's on this team and there can be multiple lines created to get chemistry...but the d my god.

hedja, klesla, wescott, tollefson, russell, tarnstrom, hainsey, etc.

  4. work on getting nikita filatov in the line up go after marion hossa brooks orpik ryan malone trading for a center like evgeni malkin work on the centers

  5. what i did in nhl 08 was get brian rolston, get fedorov back and the next season i brok gretzky's 50 in 39 record and won the cup haha

  6. You need Defense!  If you dont go out and get a better Defensive Core... same old story for the Jackets! Miss the playoffs.

  7. As a Blue Jax fan, I'm happy to see CBJ take on some proven players (Umberger)... they need to continue to develop a kick-butt first and second line... NOT continue to draft/sign players with issues.

That said, I'm looking forward to a season that builds on what they were doing right last season!

  8. bring in a good center and a good right wing to play on nash's line.

get experienced players and play them with young guys like zherdev and klesla.

get a whole bunch of young guys and train them to fit the system (thinking ahead).

  9. id make sure i signed Malone. id also sign Lilja from the Wings who will be a cap casuality.

  10. get a bonafide centre to play with Nash

get a defence man that people can name. Now that Foote is gone i cant even think of 1 CBJ defenceman

  11. Get a better center and left winger.

  12. Sign more veterans and pick up a few d's that have seen NHL action before.
