  1. Guards to the tower and off with his/her head!!

  2. no. my crown is the material representation of our nation's hardships, trials and tribulations. perched atop my head it signifies my responsibility to remind the people of the past and at the same time strive for a better tomorrow.

i wouldn't mind showing a little leg tho.

  3. I would probably tell him to f*** off and hire another photographer.

  4. I'd say that this was the way I want the photogapher to take the picture.  If I hadn't wanted it to be so, I would not have worn the crown today.

  5. I'd say " how about I wear the crown and nothing else?"

  6. The crown stays,you don't.

  7. Depends on what kind of pose the photographer wants to shoot - formal and composed (with the crown) or relaxed and unmindful (with no crown)?  I would love to sit and pose for two varying stances, it does not matter.  With or without the crown, I am still the Queen

  8. I would guess that whatever the Queen wants to do, she does. There may be some protocol that we, in the states, do not understand about her position and authority which requires her to wear the crown as part of the full dress.

I would do exactly as she did, if I were Queen. Perhaps, at her age, she may wear a wig. Removing the crown might have removed more than she wanted for the photo shoot.

My employer is an elderly woman and her appearance is everything to her. I try to get her out to socialize, but because she now requires a walker/wheelchair, she is embarrassed to be seen this way by her friends.

I think we should honor the dignity of the Queen and those who have become aged. The photographer was a bit gruff and insistent about the removal of the crown. It was probably an unexpected request and she was unprepared.

  9. I would say " Why. Doesn't this crown represent who I am. The crown is like a river that creates a waterfall which is me. If the river was removed their would be no waterfall. So this crown will remain on my head."

  10. I'd ask "Do the taxpayers want this"? If the answer is yes, I'd say "We'll they pay my bills and give me this luxurious pampered lifestyle so the crown comes off" and I'd smile and wave.

  11. it matters what photographer

  12. can you please hold it for me

  13. The Queen was well within her rights to refuse.  While an 'informal' photograph, she was in 'FULL REGALIA' meaning that to NOT wear her crown would have been "out of place."  It would have been like a Bride walking down an aisle in a red dress with no veil, PEOPLE WOULD NOTICE!  She has HAD to dress formally ALMOST ALL HER LIFE for State occassions and I'm sure that it gets quite old, especially balancing a crown on your head all night while trying to seem cheerful and carefree.  No, the Queen understands the rules of the clothing she wears, she understands how the pieces compliment (or don't) to each other and what you can and cannot place near one another.  Asking her to take off her crown as extremly rude.  If the photographer wanted her less formal, she should have asked her to remove the robe, emblems of State and all other functions and had her sit for an informal portrait.

  14. I would tell her NO!  If she persisted, I would leave.  Just like the Queen did.
