  1. Yes.  The Olympics are a world-wide event, and as the President of the United States you're there representing your country.  President Bush isn't there to butter up to the Chinese government or any other government; he's there to support his countrymen.

I would be there for the aforementioned reason.

  2. DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Way back in the days of ancient Greece, all wars and fighting were called to a truce and everyone was guaranteed safe passage so they  could participate and watch in peace and without fear of attack.  That's the spirit of the Olympics, and that's what it should still be today, unless we're less civilized than the people of ancient times.  They also did it in the nude, and the men and women had separate games.

  4. Sure, to support the country. Maybe for a few days.

  5. yeah, but they would actually like me.

how long?  umm, just long enough to dodge the flack when that little dictator in georgia bombed the citizens of southern ossetia.

  6. If i were president i would go anywhere i wanted to go......

  7. absolutely. as long as i want.

  8. yes the opening ceremony and maybe a day or two of events
