  1. I would adopt a baby or toddler simply because older children are harder to break out of their bad ways. A young child will adapt easier because it's all they really know. It'll always be the only home they truly remember and they won't bring as many problems. That's just me personally. I can't deal with other peoples rude children.

  2. I have already adopted a baby and a toddler.  If i could i would adopt this wonderful teenage girl !  I can't find anyone who will let us adopt out of birth order!  Has any one done it?  How?

  3. I would be adopting a child from the foster care system in the U.S., where I live.  I would not wait for a brand new baby to be born "just for me" since there are over 100,000 children in my country who don't have legal families.

Adoption is about finding families for children without families, not finding children for adults who want children.

  4. I would prefer an infant (I would like to experience as many of the stages of motherhood as possible), however, I know that sometimes God has different plans for our lives. I want a child so badly, that I would galdy offer our love and our family to any child (any age) that needs a family!

  5. I would be happy with any of them..

    A baby, would bond easier..

A toddler, would take a little longe.

A child, would try to challenge your boundries..

A teenager would be a real challenge..

All could work if the adoptive parents are well prepared for the upcomming challenges!!

  6. I would adopt a toddler child or teen because there are plenty of people that want babies. A toddler or child because I could offer them stability for the rest of their lives which they may not have otherwise, and they could still be integrated into a family, and a teen because once they reach the age of majority and the "system" drops them they are completely alone in life, and that time is very important to have someone behind them to help them become a productive adult, instead of settling for the first partner they find and having kids to try to create their own family which often ends bad. I see it all the time.

  7. I'd go for a child or teenager from the local foster system. Plenty of people are clamouring for babies and toddlers, but once they get passed the cute stage no one wants them. Not to mention the emotional problems that can come with older foster children. But little ones aren't for me, and older kids need parents, too.

  8. I choose toddlers because I don't want babies.  Babies are most peoples first choices, leaving alot of toddlers and older children without families for me.  I am interested in adopting 2 children between 8 and 10 years old next.  They would fit in perfectly between my 2 bio and 2 adopted kids.

Let first time parents have the babies, give me older kids and no diapers, night time feedings, diaper bags, etc

  9. This would truly depend on the age I was at the time.  I wouldn’t be against  adopting a teenager but I think if I did that it would be when I was in say my mid to late  40’s or early to mid 50’s. If I were to adopt with in say 10 or 12 years from now, then I’d be willing to take from a newborn up to a 7 or 8 year old child.

I don’t think I would ever want to be matched up with a birthmother. There are so many children in the FCS or even foreign orphanages of all ages that need homes and families.

  10. i love kids all ages if i won the lotto i'd would build the biggest house in the world and take in every child that did not have a family cos they all deserve a chance at life poor little things

  11. My sister wants to adopt and says if she were to adopt out of the country she'd prefer a baby because of the language and she would want an easier transition for the child. But other than that... she just really wants a child that needs her... (which is any age!) If it were me... I'd prefer a child or a teenager... EVERYONE is different... but thats just me ;)

    GOOD LUCK!!

  12. I'd adopt a fetus in its first month or so. Hey, wouldn't that solve so many problems, if you could have an abortion, but the baby would be immediately planted into another woman, who would give birth to it. Wow, I just solved the whole problem with Primal Wounds from being separated from your mother and killing babies with abortion. Now if the scientists could just figure out a way to make this possible...

  13. If it was my first child, then I have no shame in saying that I would adopt a baby. I would want to keep things natural as possible. Later on, I would then adopt older kids.

Its ok people saying things like "you should adopt an older child", but what if a person just simply cant cope with an older child and the issues they bring. They make it sound so easy saying that! I have had experience in it so I know how hard older adoptees can be to look after!

  14. Honestly I would adopt any age as they are all in need of a loving home and stability.  :)

  15. Nope can't say I would adopt.

I'm very open to the idea of being a foster parent though.

  16. I tried to answer this question honestly...and my answer turned into a long, sad story about the neglected child that lives a few doors down...

    ...so, a 6 year old.

  17. all of the above

  18. Toddler or a child from the foster system. I don't agree with the baby-adoption industry.

Teenagers I'd be more wary of because I think we'd be too close in age and also I don't have much experience with them, but I have more experience with toddlers & small children.

I'd like a sibling group though. That way even if they don't have their biological parents, at least they'd have each other for biological relatives.

  19. I would adopt a baby or a toddler. I guess it all depends, if I really like someone then I would adopt them whether he is a child or teenager, however, I would love to adopt a toddler because they are just beginning to grow and you can teach them many stuff.
