What would be your 3 courses? Starter, Main and Dessert?

Starter- Chicken or Tomato Soup

Main-Roast Lamb and potatoes with seasonal vegetables and Veggie Option- Mushroom Risotto

Dessert - 1st one- Creme Brulee 2nd one- Lemon Sponge Cake

  1. starter prawn cocktail  main turkey roasted vegetables roast potatoes parsnips stuffing and yorkshire pudding vegetarian option veggie chilli  and dessert chocolate  fudge cake and cream or strawberry cheesecake and icecream  


  2. Starter: (Tinned) Sardines on soldiers of toast.

    Main: Macaroni cheese and chips

    Sweet: A bit of iced sponge.

    It wouldn't win anything but it would sure as h**l put some of those stuck-up noses out of joint ! ! !

  3. id do a culinary feast of my fav dishes

    pollo con perperano verde - chicken in a roast pepper and tomato and white wine sauce

    red lentil soup

    fillet of beef on carmalised red onions, with new potato mash, wilted spinach and a reduced port sauce

    vegetable curry/ chicken curry

    apple pie - made with a shortcake pastry

    trio of chocolate desserts - dense chocolate fudge brownies, chocolate musse and chocolate torte

    port and cheese

    coffee and mint


  4. ooooh i LOVE that programme!!!

    I would make some nibbles to start with, just really simple things like chips n dips, crudites etc for everyone to eat whilst i was finishing off the cooking.....

    then to start, my homemade spicy veg soup with crusty bread

    for mains stuffed roast pork with crispy roast potatoes, honey glazed carrots, maybe a side of cauliflower cheese (veggie option would be stuffed mushrooms - id stuff them with couscous and chunks of feta)

    dessert would be something light like pavlova after the heavy main course topped with exotic fruits ie. kiwi, mango, lychee etc but im also very partial to creme brulee myself yum yum!!!!

    Where do u live?  Maybe we should all apply together? haha

    stuffed chicken b*****s with mushroom sauce

    cous cous with sun dried tomato's

    apple tart with Carmel sauce

    Fried egg and chips.

    A tin of rice pudding.

    Cups of tea all round.

  7. Starter, real McCoy Scotch Broth, ye cannae beat it. Mains would be stuffed chicken thighs, learned the recipe on Ready Steady Cook many years ago. Pudding is not my strong point but I think that I would attempt some kind of ice cream thingy. I absolutely hate hot puddings, therefore, I would not expect my guests to eat something that I would hate.. I don't think that I would get all fancy and have some wee guy turn up to dish out cocktails. Having watched the show, it never usually gets you any brownie points!!!  

  8. Starter - Chicken Soup (easy) with freshly baked bread

    Main - Spaghetti Carbonara

    Dessert - Chocolate Fudge Brownies. Drizzled with hot chocolate sauce :P

    Starter: Vegetable soup

    Main: Beef and ale casserole with horseradish dumplings

    Dessert: Key lime pie

    These are my fav things to cook and every time i make them i have to make loads as people always want seconds.

    Starter. Smoked Tomato Soup, with home made bread

    Main. Spaghetti Bolognaise or  Roast Chicken with Potatos and seasonal veg....Veggi option...Veggi Spag Bol or Stuffed Artichokes with Potatos and seasonal Veg

    Dessert. Home made Treacle Sponge Pudding, with custard, or Sherry Trifle

    With coffee and mints for afters....

    And champagne jellys aswell for an auntree when the guests arrive....

    Would be fun

  11. starter- butterfly prawns with a hint of garlic

    main- roast beef made ever so different from the traditional way, with veg,with a side dish of cucumber salad made my special way

    main veggie option-smoked salmon wrapped over savory rice

    dessert-chocolate fudge cake ( warm) with freash cream  

  12. I love that programme! did you see it this week on E4 or some channel, the lad was sick after the starter and the old lady fell asleep on the table....anyhoot....i'm a terrible cook and couldnt possibly enter, but i love to watch it and your menu sounds delicious! x

    Marinated Lamb,New pots,spinach and runner beans

    Sticky toffee pudding and custard.

    Gaelic Coffee

    Stilton,Gambazola and biscuits.

    Lots of nice wine.

  14. i'd stick to very simple,traditional dishes.but,use very best ingredients.like in all the best restaurant's you get plain simple fayre.langham's in mayfair are very good at this!
