  1. I would agree with you.  Personally, I would prefer a candidate with gubernatorial experience over one with Congressional anyway.  To me, experience running a state trumps less than a year of total time in Congress, where corruption is rampant from lobbyists buying votes that serve their interests rather than the country's.

  2. You are absolutely correct.  But the followers of obama do not want you to believe that fact.

  3. Out of curiosity, I looked at the city of Wasilla, Alaska’s municipal code. The two main responsibilities of its Mayor are directly quoted below:

    “1. Preside at council meetings. The mayor may take part in the discussion of matters before the council, but may not vote, except that the mayor may vote in the case of a tie;

    2. Act as ceremonial head of the city.”

    That is not the type of experience that I look for in a Commander in Chief. This is not the woman I want helping to lead this country. I will not support McCain in this decision.

  4. Obama is really inexperienced and it shows in his campaign, he only just ousted one of the most experienced candidates in politics and is neck and neck with another candidate whose been around for decades.  I guess whatever mistakes his inexperience caused him is beginning to make him really experienced!

    The point of experience should be a big one, but its become moot... bush has had 8 years of experience as president, his father was president and has been around politics since he was a tot, yet he still cannot deliver a speech or answer questions in an interview with any kind of intelligence or integrity.

    After our last experience with Bush, experience will matter less than performance.  Obama has already shown a strong performance in his campaign by defeating Hillary Clinton and is now neck and neck with McCain.  Palin is just getting started and judging from her past interviews she appears intelligent and articulate.  There's no reason she shouldn't do a good job, but as VP her influence will be minimal.  Ultimately what matters is how well the candidates perform in the debates... as experienced as McCain is, I doubt he is expecting a cake walk against his very inexperienced opponent.
